So More Media Debuts as a Unified Powerhouse at the Prestigious NAB Show 2024

So More Media is proud to announce its debut at the NAB Show 2024, marking the first unified appearance of VSN, Woody Technologies, and M&I Broadcast Services under one brand. This collaboration signifies a new chapter in media technology, combining decades of experience and innovation to introduce groundbreaking solutions to the market. The event, held in Las Vegas, runs from 13th – 17th April. What can visitors expect this year?

What to expect at the NAB Show 2024

Recognised as the top event for the latest trends and advancements in the media industry, the NAB Show (National Association of Broadcasters) is THE place to be for anyone wanting to explore the latest innovations in media technology. The show categorises its presentations into three vast collections: create, connect, and capitalise. Each is designed to showcase specific aspects of the industry, from next-gen production technology and equipment to essential strategies for increasing reach and ROI.

Create

This collection is all about the tools for efficiently delivering high-quality content by streamlining workflows and production processes. Highlights include the use of decentralised operations, the use of 5G for live production, and using AI to improve production and workflows.

Connect

All about distribution, the connect collection demonstrates leading edge technologies such as VR and metaverse experiences, in terms of expanding your reach. Other highlights will include ATSC 3.0 use cases, leveraging social influencers, and again, AI.

Capitalise

Content and commerce converge here. Discover how to generate new revenue streams, how in-vehicle listening habits are changing and how traditional radio is responding, the use of blockchain and NFTs for monetisation – and much, much more! This is really the tip of the iceberg. And of course, the event offers more than a close-up exploration of the solutions – the experts that created them will also be present, giving attendees a unique opportunity to get their most pressing questions answered face-to-face. Expert Insights at NAB 2024 The NAB expo is not just about exhibitions – it’s also a platform for education and knowledge-sharing, featuring expert-sourced education sessions. This year, the main stage boasts sessions with some of Hollywood’s most renowned cinematographers, giving attendees the exclusive opportunity to benefit from their insights and vast experience.

Networking

Such events are always a great place to network with other media industry professionals. However, the NAB Show’s focused, small-group roundtable sessions take things deeper. Attendees will meet with other great minds to talk about emerging trends and revenue models, getting their teeth into such topics in a much more profound way than they might during a quick breaktime chat. Whatever your networking goals, NAB has something for you. Also note that at last year’s event, there was a significant increase in international attendance, which included visitors from 11 new countries – ideal for potential global collaborations.

So More Media’s unified strength

This year, attendees will witness the combined prowess of VSN, Woody Technologies, and M&I Broadcast Services as they join forces under the So More Media umbrella. Historically, VSN and Woody Technologies have been a regular fixture at the NAB convention, while M&I Broadcast Services made its notable debut in 2023. Last year was also the event’s 100th anniversary – and Woody Technology’s 20th. It was great to see such strong attendance rates and to re-connect with customers and partners, as well as showcase our latest releases. The consolidated presence of the three companies this year as So More Media is set to highlight a comprehensive range of advanced media workflow solutions.

Witness cutting edge automation

Visitors will explore how So More Media leverages automation to enhance productivity, creativity, and security in media management. In fact, we mentioned AI a couple of times, and that’s actually this year’s theme. (To be precise, the theme is ‘Embracing the Future of AI’). This couldn’t be more apt, as So More Media’s mission is to provide deep automation to media workflows in an unprecedented, all-encompassing manner. Some of our solutions actually integrate with the most sought-after AI engines such as IBM’s Watson, Google Cloud, and AWS.
